Reminds me of an old sketch I saw on MTV way back when. Ernie said, “I’m sorry. We don’t have any cookies left around here.” Cookie Monster replies: “Then I’ll just have to eat YOUR BRAIN!”
When the gritty, R-Rated “JOKER” movie* came out a couple of years ago, SNL did a filmed bit for a movie “GROUCH” (as in “Oscar the”). David Harbour (of “Stranger Things”) played a sanitation worker who slowly descends into madness (and greenness), amid a cast of Scorsese-like versions of Sesame Street characters. That’s what this reminds me of. “Is the world getting grouchier, or is it just me?”
*First R-Rated movie to gross a billion dollars, although “Deadpool and Wolverine” just passed its box-office total.

It’s marketing to those of us older folks who grew up on that stuff…like “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”…

The current Sesame Street on TV is a nightmare compared to the original.
