Eventually, my doggie figured it out. Then, when I pretended, he’d run out a little way, then turn and sit there, looking at me, as if to say “OK, why?” ☺
It’s hard on the poor dog when its human does that.
Oh how they practice to deceive.
Just like throwing a snow ball into a pile of snow.
