    I have indeed received such inane ticket. The first was on an Air Farce Base. The SP (stands for Stupid Police) gave me a ticket for “Excessive speed under adverse conditions” Under that he wrote 26MPH in posted 25 MPH zone on wet pavement. The second was by a state cop, 56 in a 55. The judge threw that one away.

    Most of the time around here they don’t stop and ticket you unless you are at least 10 mph over the speed limit.

    I got stopped for going 58 with posted 55 on I-10 in Lordsburg New Mexico. State law says you either sign ticket saying you will pay ($60) or you will be taken to jail! Small town speed trap!
