What’s ol’ Jerry up to these days? You never hear about him any more.
Geraldo was in the cave looking for Al Capone’s secret vault.
“He tried to report live on our movements, which would’ve compromised our mission. I doubt he’ll ever do that again, though.”
Look at his calm, almost disinterested eyes in Panel 4. Roland can’t even say “Good God!” convincingly.
Geraldo had a promising show, “Goodnight, America,” back around 1974. Then he had Hugh Hefner on as a guest, and that pretty much tanked it. All downhill ever since.
“He wanted us to wait while he opened a vault in the back of the cave but life’s too short.”
Dr. Martin Abend—-died in deserved obscurity
Glad I didn’t read any of this silly stuff the 1st time around, if all you have to talk about is Roland, how important could it be! ;-)
