They are great for traveling. I used to carry a pile of books so this is easier and the shelving problem at home… In the end though, a good physical book just feels better than a reader.
All of the above comments. Plus, during Covid, it might literally have been a life-saver being able to take out library and Overdrive books over the Internet. I was converted. Now I just purchase those books in paper form which I really want to collect.
I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I find large, heavy books extremely painful to hold after a while. My iPad is lightweight, has a crystal clear screen, and displays colour for magazines, comics, and websites. I can buy a book from the comfort of my living room couch and have it delivered instantly. I can borrow books from online libraries and through Kindle Unlimited. Plus it takes up a lot less room than the books would.

I find it awesome that a virtually weightless device can hold content that in its original form would weigh hundreds of pounds or more.

I know a lot of people miss print books, but I don’t miss having to search for a seat next to a good light source.

I think the phrase ‘appreciative change in weight’ is not accurate—-there is NO change in weight, no matter how many books are on it

I like to be able to share the books that I buy. You can’t do that with ebooks.

I can understand the convenience but I much prefer a real book.
