Good Morning Cappers. It’s just gone 9:30am here. It’s a Bank Holiday over here so I’m not at work.
I wanted to let you all know that I’m doing great and to apologise for not commenting very often now.
I want to give a shout out to Egrayjames and congratulate him on his recent blood donation a few days ago. Apparently I was the inspiration for him to start again which is so lovely to hear. I will be giving blood on 9th September.
Once again I’m sorry for my lack of presence. It’s weird how many years ago that GoComics was my top priority but it’s not anymore. It goes without saying that it’s not what it used to be. It would be all right if Affie was still with us but he’s not. And that breaks my heart.
I’m going back to bed for a few more hours now but I’ll be back later. Love you all very much.
Interesting to see the rather quaint word ‘jobsworth’ being used. Dickens used it, but you don’t see I often. It’s not a positive thing to call anyone.
In high school I did one of those aptitude tests where they give you a list of career suggestions. The first two on the list were “Computer Programmer” and “Artist”. I became a Graphic artist, fulfilling both of these. However, the third on the list was “Midwife”. I thought they were crazy, until I started volunteering at a animal shelter, and one of my first jobs was to monitor a cat delivering a litter of kittens. I realized they had been right three out of three.

I like how the back view of people on the sidewalk always shows them walking uphill.

Theoretically… Andy’s around 67 years old (past retirement age…?)… So his Careers Master must be at least in his late 80s early 90s…

Actually, “Feckless Layabout” was altered by a profanity blocking censorbot. Take out of that what U will.

Feckless is better than being Fecalfull. A common condition I’m sure many have noticed At one time or an other .

“Feckless layabout” was a footnote on the bottom of the list. Andy’s wants are few and simple.

Andy was told he could be anything he wanted in life.
He’s living the life he wanted.

At this point one can say that Andy has lived a “feckless layabout” life rather well.
