Fun Fact: The French call both the trombone and the paper clip âle tromboneâ. Apparently when paper clips came out, French people thought they looked like little trombones.
I canât imagine throwing them awayâŠtheyâd have to have some value, even at the metal scrapyard! I used to have a flugelhorn, which I gave to a friendâs son who was in high school, a pocket trumpet which I gave to a nephew, and another trumpet that I gave away to another student. I kept my original trumpet, a Capri Getzen, but I havenât pulled it out lately. When my hearing started going, thatâs when I started letting others have my horns.

So the premise is a pawn shop owner PAYS MONEY for used trombones then immediately throws them away? I think your spit valve may be doomed⊠:D

How sad, however the trombone on the right of the pile looks repairable, maybe.
