The lesson I’m learning from Kate’s report is that if you go on fun rides at the fair, be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

I’m befuddled the ‘Fair Food Concoction’ wasn’t deep fried on a stick and dipped in Ranch Dressing. But then, I’m from the upper Midwest so maybe I need to wander farther afield. Perhaps all the way to Iowa.

I’m guessing Kate learned a lesson or two. I know I did after a similar experience involving a playground merry-go-round and seeing how fast we could make it spin. Kids 5 feet way learned a lesson also.

Yesterday I called Floof a ‘he’ which was a typo because I knew she is a ‘she.’ Sorry about that!

Not me! Just thinking of a fruity-cheez-squidburger, I could hurl without the whirl.

I have to agree with Stella; grossing out the teacher usually does not lead to a good grade.

first carnival I went to I rode the Tilt-A-Whirl and threw up after. From then on I’ve called it the Tilt-A-Hurl

If you want to see one of the most underrated animated films of the 1960s, check out MY DADDY THE ASTRONAUT, written and directed by Shamus Culhane and Al Eugster for Paramount’s Famous Studios in 1967. It’s easily the best short film Famous ever did. All of the artwork is by professionals who could still draw like kids. It has a delightful twist and a terrific ending. You can see it on dailymotion.

That was funny! We would go to Crystal Beach in Canada every year. Mom refused to go on any of the rides with us, dad went on one with each of us, and the 4 of us spent the majority of our tickets on the Dodge Cars, the Wild Mouse, and either the front seat or the last seat on the roller coaster. Sister and I always went on the Ferris Wheel.
