Gordon: What do you think of the car, John? John: She's sweet, Gordon! She goes like a bat and she sounds like music. I'm gonna trade! Gordon: I'll get the paperwork ready, and you can drive her off the lot. John: Well, girl... it's time to say farewell. you've been good to me, but I'm moving on. Take care of yourself... and, thanks for everything. Don't look at me like that. I feel bad enough already!

This is shockingly emotoinal as John’s had his sports car for most of the strips run so it’s hard to see it go as I hadn’t read this storyline before so I never knew he got rid of it.

“She goes like a bat”? Interesting expression that I’ve never heard.

I wish I had kept my favorite car, it was my first. It was a 1976 Monte Carlo, 2 door 350 V8, with a moon roof, gorgeous blue paint…and a great sound system, with a cassette deck….:0)
