It’s leaving (no pun intended) its home to go off on a great new adventure, one that is likely to result in bitter disappointment.
No needs to be sappy bout it doggie. It just fall season and it fall-owing seasonal tradition.

Why is it sad? A leaf did it’s job while there was plenty of sunlight. Now it falls to the ground to allow the tree to conserve energy and serve as compost to feed that tree and future trees. Yah!
In reality the leafs ARE really pushed out!
