Interesting point about assigned seating. Recent one of local theater replaced the traditional chairs with reclining sofa seats and every seat was numbered. When you bought your ticket you had to pick the seat you were in. In a packed room there would be no place for sneaked in kids to sit.

At Washington State University the computer labs are built in underneath the football grandstand, placing the nerds and the jocks in close proximity. On one football day, I noticed one of the doors from the lab to the plaza in the admissions area was not latched. If no one noticed I could sneak in to the stadium. But the general admissions area was on the other side of the field, and it is fenced off, so all I could do is hang around and not look suspicious.

It seems to me that the storyline has pivoted – instead of trying to “sneak into a PG-13 film,” now it sounds like they’re trying to sneak in without paying
