The weather forecast calls for our high temperature to get up to 80 degrees. The record for this date is 82, set back in the 1930’s and they said we have a good shot at tying that record. How I would love to take advantage of that weather by using it as PLAY HOOKEY FROM WORK DAY. But I guess I’ll force myself to go to work. I don’t want to, though! No, NO! I don’t want to go!

Grew up in Wichita Falls—a place where you can experience all four seasons and every type of disastrous weather all in the same day!
Got there in time for Turkey day and ate my first ever sweet potato pie. Sometime around Feb. 1975; a Commander’s Call meeting gave us information on dealing with the upcoming tornado season which I did not feel bad about missing as I shipped out in about the first week of March. Swine flu was all the “rage” which meant us getting that shot. Fortunately no adverse reaction. Winter consisted of a dusting of snow or two and cold. My January birthday was a dorm mate taking me to a bar in town in his mid ’60s Ford Econoline van.
Lily would not find the Best Western up to her standards, I suggest the Chateau Lake Louise. Wasted 1 1/2 hours this morning looking for Sammy, or Olive as he will likely become. Tore the house apart. Finally found him under a cabinet I didn’t realize had an opening in the back. He hissed at me when I touched him – but last night he got up next to me on the couch and couldn’t get enough pets and ear scritches, all the while purring like crazy. Cats!! Joey has settled in as if he has lived all his lives here.
I messed up and forgot to contact HughesNet to move my dish. I will still be able to access with my phone, but GoComics isn’t very phone friendly. So you might not see as much of me for a bit.
She was just being realistic. She hadda be able to AFFORD the Ritz, and she knew she couldn’t get the remainder out of the rest of the cats. The grammar is wonky (once a librarian…!), but this had me laughing from the 1st panel to the last!
You’d think Lily would spring for a classier place. Wonder what Jack’s plan is. Hope it’s a good one. On another note, saw eight juncos, a woodpecker, a caterpillar, and two wrens while out walking today.
