As humans, our fingers are way more sensitive than other body parts proportionately. A hypo in the shoulder, no big deal. I had to get a shot in the cuticle of my finger and it hurts just thinking about it.
And they sting worse when you use hand sanitizer (or as I call it paper cut finder).
I read somewhere that paper cuts hurt because they are too slight to damage the nerves that carry the pain signals. Deeper cuts can actually sever the nerves so they don’t hurt as much.
