BTW, did you know that the “comb over” was actually awarded a patent?

On 10 May 1977, Donald J. Smith and his father, Frank J. Smith, of Orlando, Florida, were awarded a patent (U.S. patent 4,022,227) for their variation of the comb over that conceals baldness by combing long hair in three separate directions.

What ever happened to the old belief, “If you pluck (tweeze) one hair, four will grow back”? Go for it! In a month, you’ll have a full head of hair! lol

Leave it until it’s long enough to swirl.

an old friend of mine did the combover thing with a holding spray, but one day the wind had its way with it, and there was this big wad of hair a good foot long whipping in the wind. Too bad this was long before cell phones… woulda made for a great video to post on youtube!

Fortunately, I’m not losing any hair but it’s grey all around the sides. I let it grow long, which covers most of the grey (the 360-degree combover) and makes me look minutes younger. However, if I get a bad haircut, it looks like I’m wearing a too-short brown wig. :)

I have a former co-worker that has a friars type hairline. We asked him if his barber charged him full price and he said “Yes. He calls it a finders fee.”

Yes, and make sure you dye it to make it stand out.

During a recent haircut, my stylist was going after two or three barely visible hairs that continue trying to claim territory in an otherwise barren field. I jokingly said to her, “Always a couple that won’t give up, aren’t there?”

The guy in the cartoon needs to man up and let it go.
