Concerning yesterday’s comic, you don’t have a snowball’s chance in you-know-where of resolving your issues this way, Calvin. It’s better than seeking revenge, but you need to release, not just express your anger, bitterness, resentment, ill-will, etc.
“Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you”… Psalm 55:22a
khpage said it well, “…sic transit gloria mundi…”.
“Thus passes the glory of the world”.
“The world is going to hell in a handbasket” might be an alternate rendition.
Calvin, you’ll have plenty of time as a six year old for more exploits and tales of daring-do. Never give up. I suggest you give Susie a big wet sloppy kiss in front of the class.
grazer:
I forget which book it was in maybe the last one, but Bill Watterson said he never was going to give details about the “noodle incident” preferring to leave all the details to the readers imagination.
Grazer, nooooooooooooo! Not the ‘noodle incident”! the world is not ready for the truth behind the “noodle incident”, “the grassy knoll”, or where Elvis and Michael are living.
Calvin will be a great upper level manager someday. His job will be to conceptualize. His underlings will be charged with worrying through the details………
This reminds me of one of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes strips. Calvin is sitting at a table writing on a sheet of paper. Hobbes comes by and asks what he’s doing. Calvin says he’s writing his autobiography. Hobbes says, “Your autobiography? You’re only 6 years old.” To which Calvin replies, “I’ve only got one sheet of paper.”
Puddleglum2 - you are the first person in living memory who understood what the Latin phrase I typed in means. Wow. Herocoder - I think your post was right on. In any event, Maranatha, Y’shua, this old man is ready to go….
He’s so good at it, he doesn’t realize he’s already begun. There’s your reason to panic. Bigger, better expolits to come.
I will be laughing for the 10th time around (The original strip, all of the books, complete archives on several sites, and now this site.), while others panic.

Calvin, you can be a quiet and silent for 10 minutes. That should send a shockwave rippling though the nation.

I don’t know about the nation but many of your deeds have panicked your parents. Possible title edit?

Mom is definitely your ‘Source’ for the book Calvin .. You can add a lot of ‘direct from the witness (victim)’ extracts on it as well ..
lazygrazer almost 15 years ago
I’ll buy Calvin’s book if it includes a blow-by-blow recounting of the mysterious “noodle incident”.

I think the problem is to come up with one single exploit that’s more shocking than the others.
