It’s really too bad Statis has totally run out of things to comment on, now that the guy he “was really against” won.

Maybe he can borrow issues from his buddy Ted, who believes Trump will help all the homeless and get them all into shelter.

Here is Peter Baker in today’s NYT:

On the night he won a second term, President-elect Donald J. Trump rejoiced in the moment. “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” he boasted. In the two weeks since, his campaign has repeatedly heralded his “landslide,” even to market Trump merchandise like the “Official Trump Victory Glass.”

But by traditional numeric measures, Mr. Trump’s victory was neither unprecedented nor a landslide. In fact, he prevailed with one of the smallest margins of victory in the popular vote since the 19th century and generated little of the coattails of a true landslide.

    Do swamp creatures have/wear fur?

Gaetz is out, Pam Bondi is in. In 2016, Bondi declined to prosecute trump for the Trump University scam after receiving a $25,000 campaign contribution(bribe) from him. Amazing how little these swamp creatures can be bought for.

Repercussions of GoComics shutting down comments on the political panels, means this site will be closed off for exactly the same reasons. The recent new commenter’s seem bent on making sure of it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA[snort, giggle]Landslide, what landslide? 2024 Harris:226 EC votes. 74,391,072 popular votes(48.3%) trump: 312 EC votes 76,916,724popular votes(49.9%) a difference of only 1.6% Not even an EC landslide as trump got only 86 more EC votes than Harris .

Going back 60 years, the REAL EC landslides: in 1964 LBJ-486. Goldwater-52. In 1972 Nixon-520. McGovern-17. In 1980 RR-489. Carter-49. In 1984 RR-525. Mondale-13 all beat trump-312 Harris-226 which is a difference of only 86 EC votes.(FYI In 2020 Biden got 81,268, 867 popular votes*SETTIN THE RECORD FOR THE MOST POPULAR VOTES IN HISTORY*[Biden broke Obama’s 2008 popular vote record of 69,498,516] and 306 EC to trump-74,216,720 popular votes and 232 EC votes, A 74 EC vote difference) And finally, just for you: 90 million registered voters did not vote in the 2024 election. We all know that Americans have extremely short memories, the Rs lost every election between 2-18 and the so called “red wave” that the Rs were expecting in 2022 failed to materialize, I would also note that trumps coattails were also extremely short in 2024
