My screensaver during December is a picture of a sign that says “Save 100% When You Don’t Buy Anything”. The wife is not amused.

Should this strip have been run on December 19, 2024? That day is 6 days until Christmas!

I’m enthusiastic about the spirit of Christmas! Just not that last guy in the black robe that shows up at the end. He was too spooky for me too Scrooge!

I haven’t really gotten around to Christmas shopping. Times are hard.

At this point in my life, I only buy for my husband and we have a $100 limit. Sometimes we decide I buy nothing and use the money for an “experience”

I will be doing some shopping on Thursday or Friday. Then I am going to hibernate until the New Year.

Anyone else remember when there were days when the stores were closed?

I miss the “shopping days ’til Christmas” countdowns in the newspapers from my childhood! Of course, nowadays, EVERY day is a shopping day – no Sundays off.

Celebrate 12th Night. Twelve days after baby Jesus was born the three wisemen came with their gifts. The Epiphany is on January 6th.

I do my “shopping” throughout the year, if I see something I know one of my friends (which include family members) will like. I don’t restrict it to a particular short period where I might not be able to find something appropriate.
