I think the bits at the bottom were made up, or at least altered from the originals, by Mr. Scott. A real ad like that would’ve had a zip code I’m sure. Nice graphic design work, love the vintage feel. Check out Liartown USA if you’re into that; old news ads, book and magazine covers and such altered in funny ways, but much of it’s not exactly PG-rated.
First, I feel like that when a dog comes near me and/or barks.
Second – and much more important – this coming year – 2025 starts the 250th anniversary cycle of the American Revolution and founding of the USA.
April 19, 2025 will be the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
June 17, 2025 will be same of the Battle of Bunker Hill.
The 250th cycle of the founding of our country will continue to 2031 – 1781 being when the end of the American Revolution and the passage of the Articles of Confederation. And further to 2033 to the Treaty of Paris and beyond same to the establishment of our government, etc. Let us hope it does not end before the 250th anniversary comes (or after).

I love how you added the old newspaper layout to this comic, Bob. With 16 pages of comics, no less. Ah, those were the days!

Wowzers. Well technically correct about being over 200 years, more closer to 500. Maybe that’s why they’re so small. Time dilation.

16 pages of full color Sunday comics. For a nickle. Those were the days. This cover even predates me.
