I’m hoping for no fireworks. (sigh)

I haven’t stayed up for New Years since before most of todays celebrants were even born

I don’t think that I have ever participated in a new year’s celebration. I don’t object to them, they just never appealed to me. I have stayed up to watch the celebrations on TV but they were anticlimactic. Just another dayl

I will be long asleep before midnight. I expect to be woken up by fireworks and some fools shooting off their guns. I expect their will be people killed as a result of gunfire. So far there have been 16,620 gun deaths this year, and over 31,000 injuries as a result of gun foolishness. Of those deaths, 1,406 have been young kids ages 0 – 17. We always seem to learn the hard way what is a bad idea.

I’d settle for fireworks. Where I live, it’s mostly gunfire. They don’t care that what goes up, must come down.

And naturally he’ll wake up at his normal time tomorrow.
