USAians don’t take enough sick leave. They wait until they are almost dead before taking the time off and get back to work when they feel about 85% recovered. Those two more days would make it so much better for them when they do return.
Then there’s the Getting Better Illusion where you can’t imagine how you could have felt so awful yesterday. Then the day after that you think the same thing,
