Our neighborhood had a tamale making party. One of the neighbors comes from a traditional New Mexican family and she passes on the tradition. Lots of work and very worth the effort.
I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. But when my children were young I took them caroling in our neighborhood for about three Christmases. No one minded. They’d join in and couldn’t hear me because we were all singing.
