I’ve seen Ed Sullivan but Gene Autry? My Google search gave a horseback performance but no farther on that quote. Maybe someone grew up on their Grandad’s 78 records.
Thanks to Gene for writing that song, and for much else, but the brilliantly inventive rendition by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters is far and away the best.
