This isn’t from 2004, it just looks like Glenn decided to change the style. He’s able to do so many different styles, he must have decided to switch it up. Take a look at December 31 for the last 28 years and you never see this strip.

Same story line as Mother Goose and Grim.

I like this style better, as I can see Eno’s eyes and Fang’s nose seems more balanced to his face.

Out here in the West we can watch the Times Square ball drop and get to bed a little after 9pm

I’m not a fan of this new style. Eno’s expressions seem more amusing and deadpan to me without being able to see the eyes. I understand wanting to try something new, but after all of these years one gets used to how characters look. The fact that people think it’s an old comic highlights this. I can only hope they decide to change it back at some point. Or, that I get used to it.

Getting a good night’s sleep is absolutely the best way to start off a New Year. Celebrate early, have a designated driver.

Glenn here. Interested in your opinions on how I’ve tweaked the character’s looks. Thumbs up or down?

My wife always insists on staying up until the Times ball drops. It’s much better now that we’ve moved to Arizona so with the time zone difference now I no longer have to stay up past 10. A night owl I am NOT.

If you cut and past the copyright year from yesterday’s strip (Dec. 30), it is easier to see “2024”
