    Iā€™ve never heard ā€œworking a puzzleā€. Iā€™ve heard ā€œmakingā€, ā€œsolvingā€ or ā€œbuildingā€. Must be a regional thing.

    Iā€™ve never said ā€œI worked a jigsaw puzzleā€ or ā€œIā€™m working a jigsaw puzzle.ā€ Iā€™m firmly in the camp of those who say, ā€œdoing,ā€ ā€œdid,ā€ ā€œworked onā€ or ā€œwork onā€ (as in, to my wife, ā€œDo you want to work on a jigsaw puzzle?ā€).
