As the old saying goes, every dog has his day, or in this case, every dog has his season. And seriously, why aren’t you at home snuggling down in Dear’s comfy chair in front of the fire? I would be.
Fred, you need a sweater when you’re outside. Dogs with less fur get colder faster, especially their belly. I have a Sheltie even with her undercoat being thick, and when I walk her in the cold air I usually put her harness on to keep her a bit more comfortable.

You need to get inside in front of the fire with a juicy bone to chew on.
