Drones have been used in warfare since the 19th C. The (relatively) recent drop in the price of drones made it appealing to more and more civilians. Combined with their technological upgrade (especially re. to war-people should see what the Ukrainians are doing w/theirs) it is a recipe for disaster.
Some, earlier this century, saw this coming. The genie is long out of the bottle. I fear the worst is yet to come, not necessarily due to anybody’s “fault” but simply human inertia & ingenuity. So, what is to be done?
Hey, Eric & Bill, just out of curiosity: do you have any idea how many times Mar-A-Lardo hit the links, while milking taxpayers for his USSS detail to stay in his swamp motel, during his last term? Because it’s public record. (At least for now, until he begs his billionaire man-child owner to scrub it from the internet…)
How do the statistics compare for how much time each President spent personally tweeting during their terms ? What are the stats for the time each spent reading to learn about the issues they addressed ? In actual policy discussions ??? If you or I had to hire one as an employee, well, I know which has the work ethic we’d desire.

It’s like traffic slowing to look at a accident. People are sending drones to check out the drones.

It is sad how easy it is to trigger TDS with a one panel toon. It is the same folks that got the comment sections closed on the editorial toons.
