Are you making one of those nasty tasting “cocoa” packets? Here you go: hot milk, chocolate chips, sugar. Stir until chips are melted. Add marshmallows. Done!

I gave up on the absolutely dreadful instant hot cocoa mix long ago. A few times each winter I make the real thing for my wife and myself. Side note: You can’t find cocoa in the supermarket aisle with chocolate syrup and other milk flavorings anymore — the only place I ever find it is in the baking aisle. Guess they figure nobody makes it from scratch anymore.

I remember hot cocoa from when I was young. Sigh, just something else I can’t have any longer.
