The delusion is real

In french it actually fits.

Agnes is closer to a Limburger sandwich.

I’ll give it to her. Nobody is less sophisticated than Agnes.

I like garlic bread, so why does a garlic sandwich seem unappealing to me?

I think somebody forgot that it’s January or is using a rerun they live in a land where that snows in January and they’re going to the pool

I have always pictured Agnes as more of a gamine than an ingénue.

Regardless of what either of them thinks an ingenue is, I’m surprised that Trout wouldn’t just focus on why in the world Agnes thinks of herself as being America’s favorite anything. I’m guessing that in their universe no one has heard of either of them (with the possible exception of Grandma, their teacher, their principal, the minister, etc.). America’s favorite, indeed!
