I don’t know what the range is for pelicans, I would have thought they wouldn’t range as far north as Okanagan Lake in BC, but one time I was at the beach and thought I saw one out in the water. I got up to take a closer look, the bird saw me and swam to the shore, walked up to about ten feet from me, then turned around and went off swimming again.

I had to look it up — pelicans do not eat potatoes. That makes it even more rude to pick at one.

That is a good, clear explanation.

And I’m sure the teeth had nothing to do with it.

There’s a video on YouTube where a pelican tried (and failed) to eat a capybara. It’s hilarious.

That’s quite a visual.

I couldn’t lift a soccer ball with chopsticks. An eagle might take a stab at lifting Potato, though.
