He forgot we’re putting new coversheets on all the reports before they go out now. So if he could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that’d be great.
The amount of work that went into what he described doing is not saving any time. It sounds like a more intensive process to me. Saves her time though since all she has to do is give it an F for not doing the assignment he was given.
He reminds me of the kid who was supposed to be working on a solo for festival a few years back. He spent hours redoing the part (I had supplied him with the sheet music needed for practice and performance) on his computer, putting the sharps in front of each note that required one, adding all sorts of reminders of rhythm, fingerings, etc. Did he actually practice the music adequately? He did not. Did he go down in flames at the performance? Why, yes he did.
“You get an A for your impressive analytical skills and your unique approach to the task. You get an F for not actually doing the assignment. Now go back and read the book and let me know what you thought of it.”
In the time it took him to do all of that excessive work in order to avoid writing the book report, it would have been a lot quicker and easier to have just gone ahead and written it to begin with! (◔_◔)

I’m both impressed and a tiny bit worried by that amount of work. What was he reporting on, War and Peace?
