[off topic] Really good book about a scuba diver. Whalefall by Daniel Kraus. The less you know going in, the better you’ll like it.

Some of the surfers in high school would sometimes find pot washed up on shore. It would come from drug runners dumping their load off shore if they were going to get caught (at least that was our guess).

They called it sea weed!

I expect that to become a category on Jeopardy soon. The writers are getting desperate for something fresh. But that not the only challenge.

The first year snowboarding was in the winter Olympics many of the competitors tested positive for weed. What did they expect, it’s surfing on snow. Hardly “performance enhancing.”

Some of it leaked into the water and affected the crustaceans. They called it the lobster pot.
