A real static electrical engineer wouldn’t have used a part of his body to shock the other person. They would hold something metal like a key so they wouldn’t be shocked themselves.
Years back, on a business trip, we stayed at the Radison Hotel within sight of the old Minnisota Vikings stadium. They had deep pile carpet and some kind of metalic feeling wallpaper. The perfect storm for static electricity. We would shuffle our feet for a moment then sneak up behind a fellow manager and touch his earlobe. You could see an actual spark as he jumped from the arc.
Ha …! According a Gaggle AI overview, static equipment engineering is a real thing! There is also such a thing as “electrostatic discharge (ESD) control technicians” …! Who knew? Thanks, Professor Whamond …!!

When I make my bed in the early morning I see electrons/static electricity coming off the blanket making little lights.

I would hate to see a dynamic electrical engineer. Come to think of it, I have never met a Civil engineer. Most of them are pretty uncouth.

We have hardwood flooring with area rugs. But I still shuffle across and give an unsuspecting cat or dog a zap on the nose.
