Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I avoid the eternal subscription plans, with a few cheap exceptions like GoComics. But, when I’ve had a service being difficult to stop, I go to the account information and delete my credit card information. That results in a few weeks of “please update your credit card” pleas in e-mail before they give up. So far, I haven’t had one refuse to delete my card information…
At least the most obnoxious one I’ve run into was a magazine subscription that I’ve had for some years that told me last year (without my asking it to do this) that I was on an autorenew plan. They did send me a notice of the autorenew months before it was due to renew. However, their autorenew somehow was going to autorenew for about $10 more than a new subscription. At least the first year of the “autorenew” year, I opted out and then signed up for a new subscription to see if they’d learn a lesson, but no… This year, I opted out and I’m not signing up again.

Pay by check so they don’t have your credit card info; cancel anytime you want.
