I am reminded of when my son was in middle school and thought Axe body spray was the cure all for not bathing. He found out differently when his buddies held him down and I gave them the water hose and a bar of soap.
According to Imperial College, London, we lose 5 billion skin cells a day—about 200 million every hour, so if we were to walk through a particle counter, we would absolutely look Pigpen, even if we had just stepped out of the shower.
One problem, Miles: His filth cloud wasn’t from lack of hygiene. It was from all that dirt he was in. He bathed, but the second he stepped outside, the dirt would attract to him like a supermagnet.

I’m actually curious how long it would take. Not worth it though

Pig Pen is a special case, Miles, he goes beyond the normal realm. He can wash but the dust and dirt shows up in like 5 seconds attracted to him.

She probably didn’t want to think what he would actually smell like after a school day.

Every comic strip needs to have at least one Peabuts reference. I think it’s a law or something.

Has nothing to do with the classics, just the stink.

He could also have cited B.O. Plenty or Moonbeam McSwine.

Oddly, no one in Peanuts ever remarked on the smell, just ‘Pig-Pen’s’ appearance. Schulz was from the Midwest; maybe they were just too polite.
