The HOA likely built up around him. Maybe they thought he was ‘grandfathered’ in?

A HOA cannot force a homeowner to join them if that homeowner lived in that neighborhood prior to the existence of the HOA. Walt can tell them to take a long walk off of a short pier.

Read a story about a neighborhood HOA suing a farmer, who was there long before they started, trying to cease his operations!

I’ve been reading Gasoline Alley via Seattle PI, where it appears intermittently. A few days ago, I made a comment, via CK, saying I was surprised Walt was an HOA member. My reasoning is along the lines of other comments here.

Almost four weeks to get to this. Amazingly bad story writing.
