Poor mama Gargle is so misunderstood

What a week Brutus is suffering through. Veeblefester wants him to phone in to get permission before he does anything in the company, and Gladys has put a time lock on the refrigerator door, and we are made to wonder what Mother Gargle said to him to get Brutus depressed today?

Wait a minute, Mother Gargoyle has a mind?

If Brutus listened to himself, he’d be used to mindless babble by now.

She has a mind. She just never uses it.

After yesterday‘s problems at work, Brutus had to come home to get a full dose of his mother-in-law. And she doesn’t expect him to be down? Such is the perpetual state of a Born Loser!

This reminds me of what a senior attorney told me when I was a young law clerk. I walked into his office and he said, “what’s on your alleged mind Brent?“

Mother Gargle likely said her daughter Gladys’ had plenty of good men to marry but chose wrongly. Sad old witch. Got a fine Grandson and no appreciation for Brutus.

So, we’re just supposed to excuse rudeness?Sounds like when boys assault girls (physical or sexual) and you hear “Boys will be boys”.And the same for the rare-er(?) girls assualting boys.

Basic Mother-In-Law 101 for a lot of us I’m afraid. It doesn’t really get us down but we are limited in our ability to respond as that “person” IS the Mother of our wife. AND the evil mother-in-law knows that she can say and do most anything she wants with impunity. It is a battle that husbands in that situation cannot win. Cudos to those husbands and mothers in laws that have great relationships. They have my admiration and respect. And for those of US that have mothers-in-laws like Ramona, just remember that Hell has a special place for those women, and that they can’t live forever. However, don’t ever get the idea of helping them along to their final destination as pleasant as it might seem at times.Brutus, you are my hero…….

Think positive Brutus, you make her so happy, she gets so much satisfaction out pushing your buttons.
