i actually had to do that when i alertly noted that the handle was coming off the snow shovel.
first time i used the snowblower this season, a chunk of the new gravel we put down this summer got caught in the blower, which threw a bolt. 5 minutes after i’d started. spent 20 minutes cleaning out the auger and replacing the bolt in its really hard to reach location. fired the machine up again. and another hunk of gravel got stuck in the blower…

Had that done this summer, took awhile as they were working on summer equipment first. Not a big deal and wound up with a new carburetor too.

The shovel was our go to technology, along with child labor.

When living in snow country, I sometimes fantasized about attaching a long stick to a hair dryer. Went with the tried and true snow shovel though.

Next time, tell him you’re making a sacrifice for the good of the environment by boycotting snowblowers.
