WHAT glory?? They’ve lost every game he coached! With Boopsie at the helm, wanna bet they’ll have a “YUGE” winning streak?

BD is a conceited ss! But at least losing a leg (and those dmned helmets) in Iraq taught him some humility.

Like when Charlie Brown was away at summer camp and his baseball team won a game!

Il Duce(bag) intends to micro-manage all reporters sent to cover him—so much for “freedom of the press”! How long will it be before FDR’s other Four Freedoms are eradicated??

And pay attention, because I’m putting a lot of effort into feeling sorry for myself!

Weird to see B.D. pretending he doesn’t know Mark and Rick.

Over the weekend, I began binging Generation Kill on HBO (I thought it was a new show—it’s actually from 2008.) The miniseries is based on a book by Evan Wright, a reporter for Rolling Stone who was embedded with the Marines during the invasion into Iraq. He rode in the upfront point recon team vehicle, an unarmored Humvee. He was immersed as much as the actual soldiers were in gun battles and enemy shelling. He committed suicide last summer.

After it’s over it doesn’t seem like much to anyone. Except those who were there.

Every major deployment the Army sends people on one of the things that is always part of the return to “the real world” is a reminder that your spouse had to do things and make decisions without you. Don’t get mad. Don’t get resentful. Don’t beat the crud out of anyone. Be glad that they were strong and that life went on without you.

And don’t be mad if it turns out that your wife is a better football headcoach than you are.
