For adults, the thing that hurts worst at the dentist is the cashectomy.

Dentistry should be considered preventative care. Dentistā€™s can tell more about your health by the condition of your mouth then you may know.

Out of all the Dogs Iā€™ve grown up with, only three dogs had to have root canals to save a tooth. I currently take my pack of nine ( one is a foster ) to a great dental veterinarian ( that only does dental on animals). Recently ( last year ) one of my Canaan Dogā€™s had to have two root canal to save two of her teeth. The price was reasonable, a lot less then a root canal for a person. The pack sees the dentist once a year. Iā€™ve trained all my dogs to except the fact that they get their teeth brushed and visit the dentist. They all have pearly white teeth when they smile or bear (bare) their teeth during a growl.

All of my cats have had bad teeth. Itā€™s odd because they were not related and ate different foods. I always got good quality food and they had yearlytooth cleaning. . A friendā€™s cat lived for 17 years on Friskies and had great teeth.

Iā€™m visiting my sister up north and the pack is loving the deep snowfall. The pack is currently outside playing in the snow and donā€™t want to come inside. Wait, they all just ran inside, through the house, and back outside. Nothing like senior dogs through puppies playing like puppies in the snow. Iā€™m going to join them.

My Hemi was the only cat I had that never needed her teeth worked on. Anytime she ate anything, she would go to the decorative straw broom by the fireplace and bite on it. She would then run the bristles through her teeth as if she were flossing. It was the strangest thing but I worked for her.

Iā€™m sorry that Iā€™m answering some of these comments so late. They are not showing up in my comments feed, and I am checking individual strips. Thank you for the great comments and the fond memories of your pets (and teeth)
