I don’t ordinarily comment to this strip, but I don’t find its current fixation on the notion of “germs” particularly humorous. It presents the immature Zoey character as showing that “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”. One must infer that whatever she has heard has failed to present a comprehensive picture of human interactions with microscopic organisms — some of them symbiotic, others antagonistic, some quite neutral — and the balance between them. But I don’t see any mechanism for concluding this story arc with any education for either the character or the readers to be presented with such information.

The most deadly stuff seems to come in waves, it kills its host too quick. Ideal spreaders show no symptoms & settle in for the ride. Some goody2shoes ones work with your immune system.

That’s right, keep your immune system weak by avoiding all germs.

The kid needs to relax and go play in a mud puddle. Good times to be had with a few sticks, a few bricks, and a Tonka toy or two.

Hilarious!! Just Zoe going through one of her phases. Enjoy the strip instead of taking everything so seriously!!

Zoe is fairly right on spreading germs. My household we did not go to extreme and when germs hit us spread.

Hey Zoe, have you checked your underwear and socks lately?

If germs could take on human form, Zoe would be the model.
