Gaylord, why doncha just go by yourself and leave the others alone in their comfort??

Depends on who’s buying the popcorn?

We used to have a “Sofa” class in our neighbourhood cinemas in the 1960s and ’70s. Just a line of 2/3-seater sofas at the very back of the hall.

(I am in India, BTW.)

By bringing their sofa, they created a lot of extra work for themselves.

Cinemas priced themselves out of my market 10 years ago. I stream films now. It’s comfy at home.

Nowadays, the movie theaters with reclining, heated seats are the bomb. It almost makes paying the price of admission plus concessions worth it.

I can’t stand going to the movie theater. The music and sound effects are always too loud, so I wear earplugs. And now they make you pick out your seat ahead of time. At least at home I can pause the movie if I need to run to the bathroom.

I’m usually the poor sap that these sort of people end up sitting next to and it’s usually about 10 seconds before the movie starts.

Don’t they make some movie theatres with comfortable seats now?

Pushy pushy…..why do some think they know what’s best for others?

A. Compromise. Why doesn’t HE go by himself? B. Sitting is unhealthy. So he’s going to do an activity where all you do is sit? C. They’re probably watching a movie already!

Cinema chairs are very comfortable these days, not like the 60s-70s.

Too bad they don’t have drive-ins anymore.
