Before the pandemic I used to help a local artist group. They would host free arts projects on Saturday afternoons. Originally the projects were intended for little kids, but we got a lot of teenagers too so they expanded the project selection. I still wondered why the teenagers were interested, until a few told me that it was the in-person socializing that was really attracting them. Those youngsters realized that being stuck in phone mode was not a good thing.
