Maybe someone there will explain to Mutt why his son Cicero looks exactly like Jeff.

Rex Morgan? As if the pacing wasn’t slow enough already.

Now Walt is talking with no dentures in his mouth. And Rex Morgan, M.D. is not retired yet.

What’s Rex Morgan doing in the Old Comics Home? His strip is still running.

Rex would immediately decide that Walt needs a prostate exam.

Did any reader notice that Mutt and Jeff are minus one finger on each glove?

Have you noticed that NOBODY misses Slim’s mother and the freeloading cousin?

The “frozen” explanation doesn’t quite cut it. Walt is sounding too much like someone who is suffering a very common serious illness, with this setting serving as a metaphor to facilitate a seemingly nicer way of portraying the inevitable. If ever a bit of artistic license was needed, this is it. Get him back home to Gertie and the Alley ASAP. Otherwise, this is well on its way to becoming a disaster.
