My nefarious fuzzy cat Cybil made her first appearance in LIO on November 18 2006…

Stephan Pastis’ nefarious fuzzy cat made his first appearance in PEARLS BEFORE SWINE on September 30 2007, almost a full year later.

So the real question should be presented at comics.com under the PEARLS comments section: “Isn’t that the cat from LIO?”

Or could it be we just both by cooincidence have nefarious fuzzy cats in our strips? I tend to think the latter, because I own a nefarious fuzzy cat, and let me tell you first hand, they are quite plentiful and commonplace.

This is what happens when you let your pets watch Tom & Jerry cartoons. I can only imagine what effect Ren & Stimpy would have on the poor critters…

Aw he’s just tenderizing them before he eats them.

HA!! My cat got arrested on one of those things.

And besides, the nefarious fuzzy cat in PWS would hire someone to drive that thing for him.
