Poor grandma must be hurting after the cat got her tongue.

Is “cat got her tongue” better or worse than “evil squirrel got her tongue?”

I love it when Mittens misinterprets something. It’s very humorous.

And the next question becomes, “which cat got her tongue?” and, “where is that cat, and how do we get her tongue back?”

Mittens, did you take Grandma’s tongue? I know it must have been an accident on your part, but, if you did, you need to give it back.

When you’ve got some time on your hands (ha!), look up the origin of the expression. Kind of interesting.

Mittens takes everything literally; like talking to a 5 year old. LOLOL. When my nephew was 5-6, he answered the phone & said I didn’t “sound like my voice”.
