THis here is one, among many, to stay single. Your money will always be YOUR money. Not Married Money (look up Jeff Foxworthy.)

    I’m a woman without diamonds…because I don’t care for diamonds. I have my plain white-gold band…that’s all I needed.

now, eyewear is like jewelry stores. one italian company makes the eyewear, sells the eyewear, the optometrists who prescribed the lenses, the vision insurance for those prescriptions, and even the sunglasses(from the designer brands to generics).

No, it represents the known fact that Opus has no sales resistance. Also, Opus has finally found a use for the “turnips twaddlers” he has bought in the past. He can use them to twaddle that salesman’s turnip nose.

Unlike my mother, I am not interested in fine jewelry. Prefer inexpensive leather bands, hand woven friendship bracelets. Maybe something artsy or hand made.

There’s a lot of beautiful gemstones out there, but women expect a diamond on their finger, and only a colorless one, even though diamonds come in all colors. This started when a British princess had one at her engagement, shown by the British press, and now everyone wanted one. Demand was also pushed be DeBeers of South Africa. The price of colorless diamonds skyrocketed, and any other color is industrial-grade.

I guess I’m lucky that my wife doesn’t care for diamonds. Emeralds and sapphires, on the other hand….

I think at this point in my life I would really prefer to have the house than any other object I have ever had.

I would not waste my money on diamonds, unless I was cutting something and needed something hard. Common pebbles. they wash up on beaches! DeBeers, has vaults full of them, just to keep them off the market, to keep the price artificially high.IF I were to get married, I’d get something pretty, and possibly rare. Star Sapphires are much nicer.Plus, they’re not “forever”. You can burn them. Fascinating, but when you burn them, the only “ash” is CO2.
