I fully sympathize with Portnoy. That Bobby McFerrin song became so irritating in ’88 that I was tempted to unimaginable violence every time I heard either the song, or some idiot quoting it. This strip was tacked to my corkboard at work for years after.

My daughters found out about this song last year, and love it. Hey, it’s better than “All About That Bass”!

I hated that song then, I hate it even more now. “Your House burned down, and a car ran over your dog, Don’t worry, be happy”! And as for chip42, I hate that song too, 20 times through the ride at Disneyland with small children, ARRRRRGH! And I was through it at the 1964 Worlds Fair in New York.
