Timely - at least for us in Denver. A couple left their dog in a car yesterday with the windows up for several hours while she auditioned for American Idol - don’t think she made the cut, either on talent or brains.

…I have a shortfuse reaction when it comes to pet abuse of any kind. Too many people need to be vetted before they become responsible for children or animals. We all make mistakes, but some are just a criminal lack of sense.

Do NOT get me started!!! This is one subject that almost moves me to violence.

Good reminder, Teresa. Let’s remember, it’s also happens to human babies.

Oh, I have a pitch-black sense of humor, Teresa. The pure fatalism of that closer remark brought out a deeply rueful chuckle of recognition. But I’m also the kind of humor perv whose third reading of 1984 had me finding the comedy in the last chapter. Not the laughter of joy, the laughter of seeing the utter absurdity and having no other safe reaction.
