I just finished reading all of yesterdays comments and I picked up a hint or two about a water attack on Canada Day?? Just in case that is true, you should know that we have set up an invisible shield along the border that will send any water from buckets, water sprayers, hoses or helicopters back double on the ones who sent it. I missed out on the last fight but I’m ready for this one. Just in case it is true. Comicaddict I can’t remember. Is pirate coffee anything like cowboy coffee? Or some of Doc’s lethal brew? Owlsly it is true that we are all here for you.Yappy nuts that we are, but we are all friends. I found that out when I was going through some rough times. And you are right. We need the bees.

I’ve got a super soaker filled with homemade ice cream. So when I blast you, you are consumed by a desire to snack, thus taking your minds off of the battle.

Dry - Whidbey Island is in Western Washington. It is where I went this last weekend for a party. They had a mild earthquake there last night or this morning.

Dry - Not so rare. We sit on a major fault line and they keep on talking about the likely hood of a big one some day. A few years ago Seattle had an earthquake that did some damage to some buildings in the historic area of Pioneer Square. Earthquakes are something we don’t have many of, but happen every once and awhile.

Gee, I stuck my nose in, but realized that, if the Canada shield works, I’m in a prime splash zone. What’s a poor, part-time pirate doctor to do?

The women’s secret weapon fizzled (SNERK)! Dry, we have very frequent earthquakes but mostly in the 2-3 scale.. cleo is right though, we live on a major plate subduction zone that has the potential to release a 9+ quake. I just recently learned that my son and I live on different tectonic plates! I am on the American Plate and he is on the Pacific Plate. San Andreas fault is the demarcation point between the two!

JFri, and where does SF fall into the category?

I think that Frisco is split by the fault.

Dry, SF is on the American Plate but barely! Before you go too bonkers (I know, I know) they have done a LOT to make things much safer in case of a major quake! My area, however, is way behind the curve on that!

Good Morning Tribe I seem to be a bit better today after a rough night. I may have turned the corner at last and be fighting back this summer cold. So I will make a moderate withdrawal from the Karma Bank to keep the trend going and hide in my waterproof bunker (not bought on sale) to keep from getting soaked and chilled. Fortunately the exterior monitor lets me continue to view the page and comments so I can follow the action.

Breakfast looks great, Pirate. Just a teeny tiny dollop of rum in the orange juice please.

OWL* I am saddened at your homelife situation, alcohol has ruined so many families. Like everyone says, draw from the Karma Bank. It was a long day at the Doctor’s Appointment. I did a lot of sleeping when I got back.

But I’m feeling a little bit better today and if you look at my avatar, you’ll see what I’m bringing to the water fight. It’s been redesigned to fire nothing but water. But during the test firing, we lost our live target but are presuming he is at least one county over. I think this gives us guys a slight advantage.

Who of the tribe lives in Canada? Just curious.

BTW JFri- I’ve never heard of an Iron steak up here. You must have different cuts down there. We have T-bone, ribeye, sirloin, sirloin tip and flank steaks. We can get a New York steak too, but only in restaurants.

Shika, They’re already setting them off down here and the holiday isn’t until the 4th. My dad will turn 96! Still lives in his house. He calls it a houise now, not a home since my mom passed. They had me late in life, so I got to be an only. Believe me, being an only is not all its cracked up to be. I get so sick of the spoiled rotten only child jokes I could scream sometimes!

I think my nephews played Mario Brothers. When you don’t have a brother, you miss out on a lot of things. Even with boyfriends, I didn’t get into sports that much, although I don’t mind baseball. And I probably would like video games if I tried them.

shika it was okay just long. yesterday we had an amazing lady sing for about an hour. it was just so peaceful and she played two christian songs that i heard and loved. then she played/sang a song cant remember the name but it says….”:if you just relize what i just relized then we’de be perfect for eachother and we’de never love another” i love that song. and one about being sournded by thouseands of peope but feeling all alone bc your not home witht he one you love. they were amazing songs. so it was fun last night. i got out today and my classes are set just have to pay now. :( lol fun fun fun…. oh i DID NOT GET LOST!!!!! yet

Shika, Ft. Bragg is in Fayettevillle, North Carolina. It was the largest military base in the world, then. Probably still is, Pope AFB was right beside it. Ft. Bragg was home to the 82nd Airborne heroes in WW2 and the 101st Airborne, also the Rangers and Green Berets Special Units! Yes it really exists and quite a place to behold!

Fort Bragg was named after General Braxton Bragg.
