Running late today, rolled out of bed about 10:30am. Toilet started making weird noises at 5am and I had trouble getting back to sleep even after the gurgling stopped. I know what it is, some idiot had dumped grease and/or Q-Tips into sink/toilet. Sigh

Taking some silver quarters to see what I can get for them. Got about 12 of them. Don’t think I’ll get much. I’ll probably end up selling my diamond engagement ring. It’s about all I have left that’s valuable. I may try to sell my pewter collection….I have some very nice pieces in it.

Meanwhile my hubby (for those who missed it, I’m out of the ‘is Quaby a he or a she closet) is interviewing at the Berkley County Library. It’s for a part time, fill in when someone’s out position, but it’s something.

@Doc: I’ve enjoyed Sherpa for a while. Like the fact I can add them and keep going now. Some I’ve liked quit updating a while back. Have to keep an eye out for new ones. I usually add them for at least a couple of times. If I like them, they stay. If I don’t they get dumped.

Jdoc yes you know its early class when you get back before 12. i was out at 10 today great. only paid $1 for parking today normlay about $2.50 but we got out early :D

Carmy and Dry i love christmas time, yet i dont. does that make since? lets see i love what Christmas or who Christmas is about in my book. ;o) and i love the decorations and such. and the love you normaly see. But waht i dont like is being in a devorced disfunctinal family for any holiday. they are always fighting over who gets the kids when and what time and yada yada yada. it not something i wont for my children. but i guess its better then both the parents not caring or saying u have them no u have them. it is still a sucky thing. i dont like it. then my family can never get along and its never about family its always about food or gifts. its sad. :(

@quaby I forget, are you in the US? If so, has your husband tried taking civil service tests? He should take any and all that he would even remotely be qualified for. You do not need college degrees for many civil service jobs. It’s worth a shot!

Tabby not sure how the Mother’s embolism would have occurred, but was also definitely touched by the story. in my instance, it was a blood clot which wound up in a blood vessel near my right lung and caused a blockage. had it lodged near my heart it would have caused a heart attack. it was potentially serious, but i have fully recovered (it happened in 2001) and went back to doing everything i used to do in short order. (i actually went golfing the day after i first went to the hospital for treatment. i was lucky that they had started giving the option to be treated as an outpatient and took full advantage to stay home.)

**Dawn, yes we have and it has been cold, but great. I went into town today and it was about 7 degrees warmer. I was able to shed clothes and do my shopping. (I know, comments will be spewing out over that statement) At this time of year, we never get sunlight in our yard. We have a hill behind us and the sun is to low in the sky to reach our yard, but love the blue sky.

Dawn the frost never leaves my yard. It is interesting walking to our hot tub on tiptoes.

Hello Tribe Yeah, I was going to be gone, but I am waiting on maintenance to show up. While I was out the toilets started burbling again, and when you flush it goes everywhere but down.
